Your initial consultation will include a physical examination of the arms, neck, abdomen, legs and feet. Please consider this when choosing your clothing for the appointment.

TO CANCEL AN
APPOINTMENT

Please call the office during during business hours and allow at least 1 day’s notice.
We recognise that your time is valuable, and we make every effort to run on time.
Occasionally due to emergencies or unforseen circumstance, there may be delays beyond our control.

We apologise if we keep you waiting.

PREPARING FOR YOUR PROCEDURE

For all procedures:

1.

You need to be fasting (nil by mouth) for at least six hours prior to your procedure, whether it is a day case or surgery involving admission to hospital.


2.

Please continue to take all of your normal medications with a small sip of water unless otherwise instructed by Mr. Bhamidi or the anaesthetic specialist.


3.

You should not stop taking Aspirin unless specifically instructed to. The plan for other blood thinning medication will be discussed with you prior to your procedure.


4.

Please bring all relevant test results and scans that you have had performed during the course of your consultation.

Bring comfortable clothing/pyjamas if you are being admitted to hospital after your procedure.

Please have someone available to drive you home.

7.

If you have had leg surgery, it is important to keep the leg elevated when you are not walking as a way to help decrease swelling and discomfort.


8.

Take your pain medicine as directed but it is not normal to have significant or excruciating pain when discharged home – if this is the case, please contact Mr. Bhamidi to discuss things further.
